Why do I own guns? Because... I adore gun control!

I am not a fan of "government". I am more than willing to be led by leaders but I have never seen any value in government once I looked up the etymology of the word.

"Govern" come from latin and it means to "direct, rule or guide". Notice there is nothing in the root of the damned word about leading? The word was originally used to reference the act of steering a ship. You "govern" or keep a steady hand on the tiller so that the ship goes where you want it to go. That struck me the wrong way because we are people, not an inanimate object like a ship.

We should be able to choose what we want for ourselves and not have what we want chosen FOR us and then be TOLD what we are supposed to WANT.

Having said that... lets get down to gun control. "Gun Control is the ability to hit what you are aiming at!!", this is all of the gun control I need. Most americans actually don't even realize that there was a time in the united states that firearm regulation was pretty much handled by firearms owners and as a result, crime was handled in the same way for the most part.

Think back to the last point in american history when we were about as close to being actually "free americans".... yup... Cowboys. In that day and time if you felt you needed a gun, you had a gun, if you felt that you didn't need a gun, you didn't own one. Pretty simple fucking system if you ask me. It didn't really matter where or how you carried it either. You could carry it low on your hip in a cowboy style rig so you had access to it for killing snakes and coyotes while sitting in the saddle, or you could carry it tucked into your waistband because you didn't carry it often, or you could even carry it inside your suit coat if you wanted. One thing was for sure though... pretty much EVERY damned body had a gun so people were generally nicer to one another. Those that weren't nice got dead or wounded.

If someone was a known asshole with their gun they didn't last long because of other gun owners. But the non gun owners simply steered clear of the asshole with a gun. I mean people carried a fucking gun everywhere and the good people were good and the bad people were bad. Some people died from time to time and while tragic, if there were no guns whatsoever people would have carried wooden sporks if that was what was used for self defense and while tragic, some people would have also died. But even then everyone would have suspected everyone else of having a wooden spork whether they could actually see the spork or not and the god would be good, the bad would be bad, but in general people would be a whole lot nicer to one another.

So there is the basis of letting the good be good and choose to arm themselves or not and let them regulate the bad when they need to. The question still remains that if this was a good and decently functional system... what happened? Government happened. Did you know that there was a bunch of people trying to force everyone else in the country to conform to their beliefs.. and this is where we stopped being "free americans". Gun control was virtually unheard of in america before 1920.

The first gun laws we originally passed to prevent guns being owned by blacks. Why you might ask? Quite honestly because the ratio of recently freed blacks in the south outnumbered the white former slave owners almost 2 to 1! These dickbags were scared for their lives! They were actually afraid of retribution from this group of subhumans they had been abusing for their entire lives? Say it isn't so!

 Truthfully it was terribly difficult for a black person to walk into a store and buy a gun because they weren't really allowed in stores that often due to persistent racism and when they were allowed in white people wouldn't sell them a gun. However, the US Mail is pretty damned colorblind and at that time a black man in Alabama could open a catalog from NYC and order a gun and the postal service would bring it to their home! This would NEVER do so laws were passed to prevent mail order guns JUST to keep them out of the hands of blacks. Yet they penalized every american in the process of coddling former slave abusers. Fucking GENIUS, right?

How can you make such a magnanimous claim that you "Freed" slaves and then take away their "freedom" to choose for themselves whether they need or want a gun? But hey... they are the government... they are in control.

The next gun grabs were oddly made by the government because of the result of laws they fucked up and passed to begin with! Once again the government allowed a small group of people who were trying to control the entire fucking country to sway their making of laws without any semblance of applying logic! A bunch of uptight christians calling themselves "The Temperance Movement" decided that the whole fucking country shouldn't drink... so the government passed prohibition. Fuck Me! The people who wanted to drink were drinkers and the people who didn't want to drink were not drinking already! The backlash was several fold though. There were the drinkers who were gonna drink despite the law and would use their guns to protect themselves from overzealous government agents who were trying to force temperance laws on them and criminals were making more money than ever providing liquor so they would defend their business model. So the government had to make getting guns MORE difficult for non drinking by choice, gun owners by choice, not really free anymore americans. This shit went on for YEARS and was a bloodbath so congress passed laws in the 30s prohibiting mail order sales of concealable firearms and outlawed automatic weapons altogether. In effect, using a fuck up to try and remedy their previous fuck up on prohibition. Most americans are fucking clueless that the supreme court ruled these laws unconstitutional though. This just caused the greedy money pigs we were becoming more and more strapped with to go back to the drawing board and devise laws in such certain legal language that they wouldn't be invalidated by the supreme court. This penalizing every americans freedom to choose good or bad for themselves.

The next gun grab was because of the JFK assassination. My theory on this whole thing comes off to make me look like a conspiritard but let's just note this was 1968 and AGAIN infringed on the freedoms of americans to choose what is right for themselves.

In 79 the NRA formally challenged the 68 law and started lobbying hard. In 86 Reagan signed paperwork to roll back much of the 68 law and restored SOME of the american freedoms to again choose for themselves.

Now get this... in 93 the so called "Brady Bill" was passed requiring background checks to purchase a firearm. Of course the government TELLS us that it isn't storing this information anywhere and it is NOT building a database of which americans are buying which guns, but do you honestly believe that shit? Ask yourself if the government has lied to you before or not. But here is the really ODD thing to me... the brady bill was passed FOR James Brady, a man who was injured in 81 during an attempted assassination of Reagan. The same man who RELAXED gun control in 86. But a guy from the same incident gets a law passed to restrict gun purchases in 93? This is starting to smell bad as if some spoiled leftovers in the back of the college fraternity fridge!

Here is the thing about gun control... other countries have made guns illegal and their gun related crime, suicides, and even accidents have all gone down dramatically! These facts are CONSTANTLY pointed to by anti gun activists but they don't care about the logic here which is: THIS IS NOT A FUCKING MONARCHY BASED DEMOCRACY!

These citizens of other countries do not live in countries founded on the very principal that the right to OWN a gun is a guaranteed right and that the government SHALL NOT infringe that right. Of course you can lower crime rates when you can COMPEL your citizens to relinquish their firearms because they were never guaranteed the right to own them to begin with!

I am about to go full on retard about conspiracy here and say that I believe that America was founded by a bunch of rebels. Not just rebels to the crown but rebels to the status quo. The status quo at the time in my opinion was that there was a group of Euro-centric people who were hell bent on control of the known world and orchestrating this plan to build up a citizenship that would be so large that no other nation would be able to resist their influence.

But this rag tag bunch of renegades left and came to america and formed a new country that wouldn't be beholden to the status quo. Things were trucking along okay until the status quo began trying to flex their ideas again and the revolutionary war happened and we kicked their asses back across the pond to england.

Slowly over time though... the status quo showed back up and approached the successful money men in america and promised they could make these greedy men even MORE money if they would just get on board with the world domination plan. The greed swayed the money men and they swayed the politicians, politicians swayed the laws, the laws swayed the people, and the people swayed their freedoms. Pretty sad chain of events huh?

Would you believe that 30 DAYS of war is more profitable than 30 YEARS of peace? Look at what a social impact war has on society and how it sways those who are beholden to the government. Imagine how easily a government can make problems simply vanish in the fog of war. Can you honestly think of a better misdirection for a magic trick than a war or terrorist attack? Where should we be looking when the government is trying to make us look at the news stories about exploding buses? Japanese journalists being beheaded by ISIS? French cartoonists being murdered?

WHAT DID WE MISS WHEN WE WERE WATCHING 9/11 COVERAGE?

Fear not though because I know I sound like I am wearing a tin foil hat as I type but I just notice when things don't make sense.

It's weird and fucked up questions like these that make me choose to own a gun... hell MANY fucking guns! But I am also choosing to be a good steward about my gun ownership. I can only foresee the downside of being a gun owner coming about due to someone, or anyone trying to TAKE away my right as an American to choose for myself. Because I will defend myself against ANY ENEMY... foreign or domestic. This includes the person I consider foreign in my home at 2am regardless of their heritage as well as the bureaucratic and jack booted thugs that show up under the guise of relieving me of the burden of protecting myself in the name of "public safety".

I am a good steward with my ownership of firearms, my right to own firearms, and even with my ability to hit what the fuck I aim at!

"What is ShitRedditSays anyway?"

There is no easy way to answer this. I suppose you could say that "SRS is Hypocrisy Personified" which is correct but so open to interpretation and interpreting things is what I do. I just interpret things through my own filter which admittedly is quite screwed as of late due to my exposure to reddit.

SRS is inhabited by haters of opinion who are only really bound together by their own personal version of hate. They are not "like minded" people but merely people with a lowest common denominator in that they individually hate...  something. You see they have resigned themselves to a mob mentality and are clinging to the "safety in numbers" concept over actually standing for that particular thing they hate on their own as individuals. SRS is filled to overflowing with people who are co-opting each other's hate.

While there is a LOT of things to hate when it comes to reddit like racism, sexism, misogyny, and misandry, SRS goes so much deeper into individual hate of simply peculiar things like someone's personal opinion for instance. Can you see the irony there? Their opinion to hate your opinion is all kinds of acceptable, but you actually having the opinion to begin with is deplorable in their view.

It really doesn't really matter how much a person's life experience has led to this opinion because all that matters is "can someone in SRS hate this?". If that answer is yes, trust me, SRS has their pitchforks at the ready! All that is required is for one SRS'er to take offense with anything in particular and the hivemind takes over.

Imagine a bunch of monkeys that are using group-think to hate fuck a football like a bunch of inmates on a conjugal visit with a hooker that owes them money. One monkey hates oblong things, another hates leather things, and still another just hates footballs. There is the leather hating monkey, the brown object hating monkey, the hater of things with white stripes monkey etc ad infinitum.

Now each monkey in the troop hates things differently about the football but they are bound together in their lowest common denominator which would be the desire to fuck things they hate. While they consider themselves the kinder, gentler, and even more evolved troop, they believe this is who they are because of their perception of tolerance. They perceive being maligned representatives of the monkey minority, that they are somehow superior to other monkeys much less the rest of the planet of us apes.

We are not entitled to our opinion like they are. We are not entitled to any "isms" like they are. We are not even entitled to hate fuck footballs like they are.

They promote themselves as warriors for social justice much in the same way radical islam justifies murdering people for drawing cartoons... because they said so.

Feminism in it's currently marketed form is broken.

Oh if I had a nickle for each time I made the galactically stupid decision to comment on feminism in it's currently marketed form on reddit.....

"feminism" by definition suggests an agenda of advancing women's rights to equal those of men and establishing gender equality. But there is an inherent problem here... and this is where the landslide begins... "equality" is a diamond of a problem with thousands of facets. Each viewer of the equality conundrum views the end goal through the facet of their choice. Those that choose the precise, exact, definable facet group together and propagate their message.

Why is this bad? Well, just ask yourself, who are the perceived "oppressors of equality"? Males? This should be the only acceptable answer without us having to delve into the "NOT ALL MALES" diatribe ok? But it's not enough to prevent us from having to delve into other facets as specific as "White, Euro-genetic, heterosexual, educated, powerful, blah blah blah, males" because the following and MORE claim inequality:

• NON white males
• NON Euro-genetic males
• NON heterosexual males
• NON educated males
• NON powerful males

And these facets go on and on just for the males who don't feel "equality". We haven't even begun to talk about the inequality claims by lesbians, transexuals, bisexuals, etc.

But far worse, in my opinion, are the facets of equality that are being claimed by the "identifiers". These would be the ones who "identify" any particular characteristic of yours that they lack as a "privilege". They decry your privilege of being:

• White
• Male
• Female
• Thin
• Tall
• Wealthy
• Talented

Basically, ANY aspect of you that can NOT be learned or purchased... suddenly becomes a "privilege" if someone that doesn't have it wants it and can't do anything to obtain it. So they label it and hold it out for scrutiny and ridicule.

However, because the facet they are using is a window into equality, and the most commonly used name for this concept is "feminism", the viewer co-opts this term as well. Suddenly, everyone is supposed to automagically become as feminist as well, or... accept their fate as the enemy oppressor of equality.

If "ALL MEN" were The Evil Overlords of The Illuminati Patriarchy locked in the eternal battle against the Warriors of Justice aligned with The New Social Satan.... then yeah... I get considering oneself a feminist as the socially obvious thing to do.

But all men are not equal, and neither are the "aggrieved" who are bringing this case for equality. These so called "feminists" jumping on the social justice train are diluting the issue of gender equality. The true feminists should switch trains at the next station and abandon all hope for the one they are on because it is a disorganized herd of wet cats!

If you want true equality you are just going to have to wrap your heads and hearts around Egalitarianism.

I watched over time as reddit became awash in "rights" based subs, posts, comments, and.... well.... stupidity as far as I am concerned.

Women rights, black rights, gay rights, lesbian rights, trans rights, fat rights, whatever rights... so when MensRights popped up I thought, why not? Right? But after watching and reading and honestly putting thought and soul searching into sincerely trying to understand what the point of all of these "rights" messages were about, I am still stymied.

Some days I think this sub is about men honestly discussing the rights of men. But most days this sub comes off as if I am the only one around here who doesn't get the fucking joke!

Is this a satire or parody sub where I just don't get the joke when everybody seems to be posting, what I believe to be completely LUDICROUS shit that has NOTHING to do with actual Men's Rights? These things don't assert men's rights, they highlight the stupidity of radfem bullshit most of the time, but this is men spreading radfem hate. To what purpose? A secret giggle club?

Seriously! Let me in on the fucking joke already! Fine, I am old in internet terms, but there is NO REALM of my imagination in which, unless it was a joke, that grown assed men would give a flying fuck what some "anonymous internet social justice warrior" type had to say about fucking video games.

Sony cancels The Interview! Beware: I am about to go FULL ON CONSPIRITARD!

If you have a "theory" and it includes people "conspiring"... are you automatically a Conspiracy Theorist now?

They say:

Sony got hacked and that is bad enough because of the data that has been released. I believe that between the initial threat about releasing the movie and the announcement of pulling the film, Sony was either shown or discovered the true extent of their data losses. Considering the possibility of something TRULY heinous being revealed, Sony pulled the movie.

I wonder:

Was Sony actually hacked? I mean it would be pretty easy for them to completely fabricate this supposed damaging data to be released.  They can animate Cloudy with a chance of meatballs, how hard would some fake data to be released actually be?

Next up on my conspiracy parade:  Theater chains cancel the film?

There are serious concerns that need to be paid to threats made against your individual theaters in your chain, especially when those threats specifically reference 9/11. HOWEVER, how many of these theater chains do you think were just scared shitless that they too might be hacked and their internal data trotted out for public consumption?

But the conspiracy train rolls on...

If "The US does not negotiate with terrorists" is our mantra, do we have any legal standing over a corporation negotiating with them?

What about an ability to police a Japanese multinational corporation?

Did Sony fabricate the hack in America to appease North Korea for something we don't even know about?

What if the plan was to never release this movie anyway? It's total budget was supposedly $44 million. $8.5 of which went to Seth Rogan, and $6.5 went to James Franco. Loyalty pay for participating in a scam perhaps?

The American Ebola

In a word, equality. I want equality for everyone! I shouldn't even need to list all of the people in need of equality as I am sure you have one or two groups already in mind that you think deserve equality. I have my pet groups I would like to gain their equality first, but that is just me being honest with myself. In the long run as long as they get theirs I will be happy with everyone being equal!

Actually Rob, I can. That is one of the things I love about being an American! I have a freedom of speech that is guaranteed to me by our constitution and if I choose to exercise that right by pointing out how blatantly stupid people are being in their presentation of their cause, maybe, just maybe someone will open their eyes and say,

AHA! No here is something I can sink my teeth into! The reason, in my opinion of course, that equality is not status quo is.... The American Ebola.

This is some factoid I heard on the news, but it got me to thinking. If we could magically separate those in this country who actually have zero "isms" we would be left with maybe 90% of the population suffering from an "ism" infection. That 90%, that if left untreated will die. Not an actual death, but a Social death. More to the point without sounding like a World Health Organization scare campaign:

Some of the usual suspects include: Racism, Sexism, Ageism, blah blah blah ism, ad infinitism.

Some of these isms are so prevalent in the minds of the harboring party that they are blinded to the factual truths of certain situations. As if my opinions aren't already unpopular enough, let me get REAL unpopular, hated even...

Eric Garner died on a sidewalk in New York and the man held responsible for his death was not indicted. Immediate screams of RACISM cry out from all over the country! To which I say, "bullshit". I am not even loud or animated about my disbelief because I am right to say that Eric died from his own poor impulse control. I know, I know... your brain just threw up trying to process the incredulity of my position. But be an adult and hear me out okay?

* Eric chose to break a law

* He had been convicted of this law once before

* He chose to willfully disobey the officer

* He chose to resist

* He chose to become physical

* He was out of shape yet chose physical resistance

* He had breathing problems but chose to struggle anyway

Eric Garner made these choices for himself. Now he is dead from his own decisions. If you disagree all you need do is answer a single question,

I don't need to hear about racist cops, prosecutors, judges, juries, systems, or even the struggle and plight of the black man being an actuality I cannot imagine due to my white privilege. Yes, or No? Would the man be alive had he simply complied and not just committed a repeat offense?

I am sure there will be the hate mail informing me of my racist views and KKK/Nazi affiliations and probably be awarded my new ShitLord badge. There will probably be the Libertarian slant on how if the tobacco taxes weren't so high there wouldn't have ever been a market for a loose cigarette from Eric to sell. The bleeding hearts will admonish me for being a monster incapable of empathy.

LOOK! YOU KNOW HOW I AVOID BEAING EATEN BY A SHARK? I STAY THE FUCK OUT OF THE GODDAMNED OCEAN!

You got breathing problems? Don't get struggle fucked to the ground for breaking the law! If you are MANLY enough to disregard the law, be MANLY enough to admit you are busted! I know, it's gonna suck to end up in the state pen on a habitual offender beef and have to admit that your habitual offense was selling loose cigarettes and not murder or whatever earns mad swag in prison these days!

So what is all of this rambling about? Simple! Eric Garner had his isms too.

* Blackism - Where you feel like an aggrieved minority

* Lawism - Where you feel only criminal laws are applied to you

* Disrespectism - The only respect you give is to people you are afraid of

* Persecutionism - Just because of your skin color you are hated and despised

The list can go on and on if you want to nitpick but you get the idea. His American Ebola was left untreated and there was a 90% chance of him dying because of it.

Any radical ism qualifies... like Terrorism and Feminism. The "ists" are tossed in there as well... Misogynists and Misandrists for example.  THIS is the American Ebola with a 90% death rate and we are ALL walking around infecting each other randomly based on genetic predispositions on a daily basis.

A feminist has no power over a misogynist and vice versa. They just piss each other off and cause one another to exercise pushback on an ever increasing scale. Your isms or ists can't change your "make believe mortal enemies". For instance It won't be the black activist that changes the racist, but the racist observing no reason to be racist because the black activist stopped attacking him and just tried being a better example of a non belligerent human. The same works in reverse you know. When the racist stops yelling epithets and just exhibits a willingness to accept becoming a better human, the activist can't see a reason to soapbox any longer.

Bill and Ted said it best, "Be Excellent To One Another!" (If you are so young you don't get this reference.... google is your friend!)

The bottom line takeaway here is that we have got to stop trying to blame change each other. HateSpeak is a real thing and it needs to be stopped.

Checking My Privilege?

First... a little background is delivered to a friend who asked,

"How the fuck did we even get here?"

Well buddy... cop a squat and I will fill you in!

Baby boomers with cash and authority but little wisdom forced their children to go to college without any real identifiable desired outcome. This resulted in the growth of degree fields with little to no real marketable value. The first wave of graduates became tenured professors in these same fields and quickly occupied all available academic positions.

These fields continued to grow, however, with no identifiable occupational placement leading to angry and frustrated graduates who parlayed their newly-found knowledge of historical injustice to apply to their own personal misfortune. They began to jointly develop a worldview where even the minutia of one's life is obstructed and degraded by deep and powerful social forces. This created a Social Satan -- a mythical creature upon which misfortune may be blamed, which is a convenient pretext for burning anyone suspected of not worshiping this new Social Satan.

IE: Radical Feminist Justice Warriors For The Social Satan!

His response was, "Oh.... Shit!" I agree wholeheartedly my dismayed friend.

I heard a new one today on reddit that just descended on my soul like a nuclear fucking winter.... "tall privilege". I was incensed that this poor man was using the word "privilege" to begin with, but "tall privilege"? Fuck the fuck off already! I am not one to pussyfoot around and voice my opinion as I see fit which usually results in being downvoted to oblivion. If I cared about make believe internet points I might curtail my opinions, but I don't, so I won't.

To be honest though, this little outburst of mine led to me meeting a decent logician named Aerobus on reddit who put forth some food for thought, namely... the Justice Warriors For The Social Satan types and their abhorrent misuse of the term "privilege". They use it to apply to basically any fucking thing they deem appropriate. My opinion on the matter is due to the sickening fact that these random internet weasel-men are buying into this sham and using the HateSpeak of the enemy!

 I no more believe in a "tall privilege" than I believe in a "blonde privilege". It would be tantamount to saying that I was born with a "healthy privilege" because my body functions as expected. I will not tolerate someone trying to tell me I have a white privilege because of my DNA anymore than I will allow someone to tell me I should have "white guilt" because of slavery. Do not try to hold me responsible for the transgressions of others more than a century ago. I wasn't there and neither were you!

Splain this like I am 5 okay? Why do people not have to check their "Social Satan Privilege" or their "Victim Mentality Privilege"? They sure as hell expect me to check my "Evil Overlord of The Illuminati Patriarchy Privilege"! There is a LOT of privilege checking that needs to take place and guess what my precious little snowflakes... it's NOT relegated to white hetero people only!
